Maria M. (Mary) Nowicki, 93 of South Bend, Indiana passed away Saturday, March 15, 2014.
She was born October 5, 1920 to Wicenty & Mary Anna (Kucharski) Jeziorski.

Mary was employed with Hillview Bakery as a decorator, Briteway as a sales clerk, South Bend Community Schools in the cafeteria, and owned & operated Four Seasons Tours for over 30 years.

On December 28, 1946 in St. Casimir Church, Mary married Edmund (Spike) Nowicki.
Spike preceded her in death on June 14, 2004. She was also preceded in death by, sisters, Pauline Zmyslo, Alicia Timmons; and brothers, Stanley, Joseph, John & Ted Kucharski.

Mary is survived by her son, Jeffrey (Vi) Nowicki of South Bend, Indiana; step grandchildren, Kimberly (Allen) Hensley, Jason (Jodi) Krol; step great grandchildren, Ryan, Claire, & Adam Hensley, Isabel & Jeremy Ball, and Vivian Krol.

Mary belonged to St. Stanislaus Kostka Parish, the Altar & Rosary Society, and PNA #83.

Mary liked to travel all over the country especially if polka dancing or casinos were involved. She was a very special person who was a great mother & busia and will be missed by her family, neighbors, and many of her friends that would go with her on bus trips. Mary & Spike were the first to bring Chicago Polka Bands to this area and held many polka dances at the Palais Royal the 1960’s.
