Maria Luisa (Wicha) Alaniz, age 85, went home to be with the Lord on November 26, 2021. She was born on October 18, 1936, in Santa Rosa, Texas to Juan Garza Sr. and Maria S. Garza. She was a loving mother and grandmother who enjoyed gardening and cheering for the Texas Rangers. More importantly, Maria worshipped the Lord daily and always kept her loved ones in her prayers.
She is survived by her loving husband of 67 years Valdomero (Nene) Alaniz Sr., her seven children, Dora Trevino (David), Ernesto Alaniz (Rosalinda), Daniel Alaniz (Maria), Dalia Anes (Joe), Maria Barbee (David), Valdomero Alaniz Jr. (Carmen), San Juanita Villarreal; her sisters Rosa Cortez and Mercedes (Chelo) Ramon, 21 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
