Maria Eva Karczmarczyk, nee Franzen, 64, of Belleville, IL, born April 5, 1948 in Rittersdorf, West Germany, died Tuesday, November 27, 2012. Maria had recently retired after 25 years at St. Clair Country Club. She enjoyed crossword puzzles, music, spoiling her grandchildren, and loved the St. Louis Cardinals.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Nikolaus and Katharina, nee Becker, Franzen. Maria is survived by three children, all of which have honorably served in the U.S. Military, Sheila (Ronald) Vickers of Bossier City, LA, Christopher Karczmarczyk of Shiloh, IL, Jeremy (Jennifer) Karr of Shiloh, IL, two granddaughters, Courtney Pierce and Emily Karr, two sisters, Elisabeth Kirsch and family, Margaret Schmitz and family, two brothers; Klaus Franzen and family, and Karl-Heinz Franzen and family.
