Maria de la Luz Jasso, Zamora, 81, passed away Wednesday, September 28, 2016. She died of natural causes at West Valley Medical Hospital surrounded by her loved ones. Maria was born in Hualahuises, Mexico on November 20, 1934 to Manuela Jasso and Gabino Jasso. She grew up with her brothers and sisters: Frutoso Jasso (Rosie), Judge Juan Jasso (Delia), Luis Jasso (Elena), Rosario Galindo (Juan), Mercedes Avila (Erasmo), Eduvijes Salazar (Ruben), Ramiro Jasso (Ninfa) and Maria Garza (Jose). She moved to Idaho from Texas in 1966. While living in Idaho Maria worked for J.R. Simplot for over thirty-five years. She raised her family in Wilder, Idaho.
Maria is survived by her six sons: Jose Zamora, Armando Zamora, Abelardo Zamora Jr, Francisco Zamora, Carlos Zamora, and Enrique Zamora. Along with her sons she is also survived by many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nephew and nieces. Maria was a beautiful, strong mother who took great care of her boys. She will be greatly missed but we know she is now enjoying a better life in heaven.
