Maria (Simoes) Beck Maria Fatima (Simoes) Beck, 51 of Redding died on Wednesday, September 5, 2012 at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center, New York, NY after a 5-year battle with ovarian cancer. Maria was born in Portugal, January 16, 1961, a daughter of the late Angelino and Solene (Baio) Simoes. She immigrated to the United States from Portugal in 1967 first settling in the Bronx, NY. She graduated from Baruch College in 1983 with a degree in International Business. A Connecticut resident for the past 24 years, she was a contract administrator for Noble Americas of Stamford, CT.
