Mrs. Garcia was born September 24, 1931 in Panuco de Coronado, Durango, Mexico, the daughter of David Castro and Maria Isabel Retana Castro.
She married Jose Trancito Garcia April 6, 1959 in Panuco de Coronado, Durango. She moved to Texas in 1981 and worked for the Stagecoach Inn in Salado for 24 years. She was a member of Christ the King Catholic Church. She was a homemaker.
Survivors include three sons Martin Garcia of Salado, Miguel Garcia of Belton and Jose Garcia of Belton; four daughters Catalina Lopez of Salado, Magdalena Diaz of El Paso, Gonzala Thurman of Belton and Maria Clara Sanchez of Kyle; two Brothers David Castro of Mexico and Alvaro Castro of Mexico; two sisters Amalia Berumen of Salado and Maria De Los Angeles of Port Lavaca; 16 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.
