Maria Espirito Santo Andrade a resident of Stoughton since 1981 passed away at home after a short illness surrounded by her loving children and extended family. She was in her 100th year. Maria was the beloved wife of the late Joao Tavares Rego. Her survivors include her children, Maria Virginia Freitas and husband Humberto of Brockton, Maria Fatima Freitas of Stoughton, Joao Rego and wife Madalena of Stoughton, Maria Conceicao Rego of Middleboro, daughter in law Ines Rego, 17 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren, 5 great – great grandchildren and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She was also a loving mother to the late Jose’ Rego and a cherished sister to her late 13 brothers and sisters.
Born May 26, 1917 in Santa Maria, Azores, Portugal, she was a daughter to the late Joao Andrade and Maria da Assuncao. She enjoyed crocheting and a lifetime of memories created with her late husband and family.
