Maria Beer Sides, 82, of Salisbury, passed away Tuesday May 7, 2013 at The Laurels of Salisbury.
She was born August 16, 1930 in Sonnenreid, Germany, a daughter of the late Barbara Rott Beer and Michael Beer.
Maria was employed as a seamstress with Carolina Maid. She was Catholic by faith. Maria and her husband Jim enjoyed traveling to Germany, Daytona Beach, Atlantic City and other places throughout their lives. She loved gardening and playing bingo, and was very active in her later years. She will be missed by all those lives she touched. Her niece Joan Dobson had the honor of being her caregiver for the past several months and will forever cherish the memories she is leaving behind.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by husband James Junior Sides on October 9, 1999.
Those left to cherish her memories are her sisters Anna Muklbauer, Lina Olbrich and Agnes Jgl in Germany, two brother-in-laws, Jack Sides and Frank Sides both of Salisbury, and many nieces and nephews.
