Obituary of Maria Antonieta Martinez
MARTINEZ, Maria Antonieta “Tonia” of Saginaw, Michigan, formerly of Sabinal, Texas, passed away on Saturday, April 5, 2014 at Covenant HealthCare – Harrison, with her family by her side. She was 55 years old. Maria Antonieta Martinez was born on December 26, 1958 in Sabinal, Texas to the late Lupe Martinez. She was a longtime member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. Maria was very artistic, and enjoyed sketching, drawing and coloring. She was a BINGO fanatic. Maria also loved going to the casino, listening to music and treasured her collection of “pigs”. Above all, she was a generous, kindhearted and helpful soul loved by all.
She is survived by a special niece, Stephanie A. Garcia of Saginaw; niece, Lauda (Ray) Martinez-Wheeler of Florida, special best friend, Sandy Bland of Saginaw; special cousin, Lisa (Tomas) Olivarez of Saginaw; and a sister-in-law, Yolanda Martinez of Saginaw.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Lupe; two brothers: Joe and Frank Martinez; and a sister, Anita Dominessey.
