Zippi1942~2020Maria Anna Zippi (née Firmani), age 78, of Havertown, PA and formerly of Overbrook, passed away peacefully on September 7th, 2020. Maria Anna was born in Mosciano Sant’Angelo, Italy, traveling to America on her 16th was preceded in death by her beloved husband for 57 years, Omero Zippi and her parents Antonio and Grazia Firmani (née De Ascaniis).Survived by her loving children, Mario Zippi (Barbara Allen) and Diana Basciano (Arthur Jr.); her cherished grandchildren Victoria, Anthony, Felicia and Rachel. Her dear brothers and sisters Orazio, Joe (Maria), Fran Balkenhol (Harry Sr.), Gloria Cieri (Dennis) and many loving nieces and nephews.Family was extremely important to her and she was an excellent cook, preparing countless holiday dinners. She loved hosting parties for her entire family. Free time was spent with her loving grandchildren, watching them grow up into young adults. Anyone who knew Maria Anna would tell you how generous she was and how much she loved her family and friends.
