Marguerite Westbrook Camp, age 93, of Lawrenceville, GA passed away early Saturday morning, Aug. 7, 2021.
Throughout years of declining health she continued to keep her mind active with games, thoughts of her family and friends and other happy memories.
She was preceded in death by her husbands, James Camp and Russell Crowder; and son, Steve Crowder.
She is survived by her sister, Norma Williams, Rotunda West, FL; daughter, Patricia “Pat” McDaniel, Lawrenceville, GA; son and daughter-in-law, Joe and Debbie Crowder, Kernersville, NC; grandchildren, Brian Crowder, Winston-Salem, NC, Blair and Jamie Salling, Wilmington, NC, Nathan and Tina Crowder, Brett Crowder, Atlanta, GA, Ben and Kayla McDaniel, Buford, GA and Travis Crowder, Lawrenceville, GA; six great grandchildren; two nephews; and several cousins.
Mrs. Camp was born February 4, 1928, in Atlanta, GA.
She was a 1946 graduate of Tucker High School where she was Valedictorian. Mrs. Camp was an executive corporate secretary at Rich’s Downtown, where she also worked as a model. She became a homemaker and stay-at-home Mom, enjoyed cooking and baking chocolate cakes which were favorites of her children and friends. She was an avid pianist, played in a band called Syncopater and performed at the Fox Theatre in Atlanta. She loved music and movie sound tracks of Doris Day. Her favorite movie was “White Christmas”. Mrs. Camp loved The Braves and never missed their ball games on TV or radio while she was able. She was a member of Tucker First United Methodist Church in Tucker, GA.
