Cora Marguerite (Sylvester) True, 86, of Fortville, passed away July 9, 2014.
She was born July 12, 1927 in Noblesville to the late Earl and Fern (Killey) Sylvester and was a graduate of Pendleton High School. Marguerite was a beautician who owned and operated her own beauty shop. Along with her husband and son, she also owned and operated True’s Carpet Cleaning for many years. She was an active member of the Ingalls Church of God and was a member and Past Worthy Matron of the Order of the Eastern Star. Marguerite was an avid sports fan and loved singing in the choir.
She is survived by sons William John True and Timothy Lee (Patricia) True; grandchildren: Matt True, Aaron (Amy) True, Melissa (Butch Benbow) Breckenridge, Melody (Vince) Johnson, Charlize True and Ebony Lamb; great-grandchildren: John & Hayden Breckenridge, Shayne & Zachary Harris, Hayden & Alivia Benbow, Sean, Jessica & Amber Schuyler, Dustin & Tyler Johnson, Jacqueline, Victoria, Joseph, Maria, Jon, Andrew, Laura, Christina, Jeffery, Mallery and Brandt True; great-great-grandchildren Myles Schuyler and Vivian Smith; and sisters Marjorie Zeller and Barbara (Jerry) Ward.
She was preceded in death by her husband Charles Thomas True, Sr. in 1997; son Charles Thomas True, Jr.; brother Kenneth Sylvester; sisters Alberta Tooker and Phyllis Bolander; and daughter-in-law Tamika (William John) True.
