Marguerite T. (Peg) McCarthy
1933-2008
God has blessed us all for the past 74 years with the life of Peg McCarthy; devoted wife, mother, grandmother and friend. Peg’s loving heart gave out unexpectedly on March 9, 2008 the Fort Walton Beach Medical Center.
Peg attended schools in Chicago, Illinois until marrying Jim, the light of her life, in June of 1955.
Peg had a distinguished career in volunteer organizations around the world and in our local community. She was Chairman of Red Cross volunteers at numerous medical facilities; president and officer of wives clubs; Executive Director of the Indianapolis USO. She was the first recipient of the Order of Molly Pitcher at Fort Benjamin Harrison, Indiana.
The family would like to thank the care givers at the Fort Walton Beach Medical Center, The Renal Center, and at Westwood Health Care Facilities, Fort Walton Beach.
