Marguerite “Rita” Forrester (Gorman), 80, of Holiday City Berkeley section of Berkeley Township entered into Eternal Rest on Sunday October 21, 2012 at home. Marguerite was born in New York City, formerly of Astoria, Queens and Jersey City, NJ moving to Holiday City Berkeley in 1987. She was a Communicant of St. Paul’s Greenville in Jersey City where she was a member of the Rosary Society, Boy Scout Cub Master Pack 548 and was a Bingo Volunteer for many years.
She was also a Communicant of St. Maximilian Kolbe RC Church in Berkeley Township. Rita was a Past Officer of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Retired Police and Fireman’s Association of Ocean County Local #8, Past President of the Holiday City Berkeley Women’s Club, a member of the Guy’s and Doll’s Club and also the Variety and Drama Club. Marguerite is predeceased by her ever loving husband Ret. JCPD Lt. George “Bud”, son George ‘Buddy”, daughter Marguerite “Micki”, brother Bart Gorman and two sons in-law Leo Copeland and Joseph Cocuzza.
Marguerite is survived by her Adoring Children Susan Vincent, JCPD Sgt. Paul and his wife Elizabeth, Ret JCPD Donald and his wife Colleen, Neil and his wife Karin, Eileen, Mark and JCPD James. Beloved Mother In-Law to YingHua Ren Forrester, Cherished Grandmother to Peter, Amanda and Megan Vincent, Leanne Wallace, Antoinette Cocuzza, Neil, Donald, William, Sarah Copeland, Marguerite Cocuzza, Zhang Jian (Jeff) Feng, Catherine, Nicholas, Joseph, Rakelle and Michael, great grandmother “GG” to Amaya, Jessiah, Adrianna, and Jayla, and also many loving cousins, nieces, nephews, sisters and brothers in- law and Friends.
