Marguerite “Pat” Reese Grant age 92, a lifelong resident of Lakeland, peacefully stepped over to her heavenly home on October 27, 2022. Pat was born in Lakeland, Florida on December 5, 1929 to Clifford N. Reese and Marguerite R. McDonough Reese.
Pat attended and graduated from Lakeland Senior High School. She began her career as a bookkeeper and ended by retiring as a small business owner.
She enjoyed the outdoors, gardening, fishing and camping. She enjoyed art and was an artist in her own right. She loved drawing and designing clothes. In her retirement years she spent time drawing and coloring, giving her artwork away to family and friends. While she loved all of these hobbies, she loved her family even more.
She is survived by her husband, of 31 years, Ora C. Grant, her sister Dorothy Reese Eldredge, her children Sandra Cochran (Richard), Mikell Penney (Vicki), Phillip Penney (Janet), 5 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren. She is proceeded in death by her parents, brothers John Clifford “Jack” Reese and David McDonough Reese, sons Rodney Penney and Marcus Penney, granddaughter Victoria “Tori” Penney.
