Marquerite “Marjo” Nelson Lauderdale passed away peacefully on Sunday, February 28, 2016 at the Miss. Baptist Medical Center in Jackson. She was 83.
Born and raised in Claiborne County, she was the daughter of the late Josephine M. Nelson and Clyde L. Nelson, Sr..
Marjo will be deeply missed, but she will always hold a special place in our hearts and memories.
She was preceded in death by her husband James “Jim” Lauderdale; her brothers, John C. Nelson and Clyde L. Nelson, Jr.
Survivors include her daughter, Teresa “Teri” Marie Slagle of Port Gibson; her son, Halbert “Jay” Slagle III and his wife Diane of Ewa Beach, Hawaii; 2 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren and other family and friends.
