Marguerite Lenihan Snyder, 55

TROY-Marguerite Lenihan Snyder was born in Yonkers, NY, on August 8th, 1950, and died at Samaritan Hospital on Tuesday afternoon. She was 55.

Marguerite graduated from Yorktown High in Westchester County in 1968, and Nazareth College in Rochester in 1972, where she majored in Education. In the fall of her freshman year, she met Peter George Snyder. The couple wed on a scorching hot day in July of 1972. Soon thereafter Peter and Marguerite moved to Troy, where they settled and raised their two sons.

Marguerite will be remembered by many for her love of antiques, and her talent for displaying them in her home in an elegant and yet whimsical way. She will be remembered by her family for her love and honesty. In September, she saw her first grandson, Daniel, born. Marguerite worked at H&R Block in downtown Troy for many winters.

Marguerite is survived by her husband, Peter, and her son, Timothy, of Hicksville, NY, and his wife, Tracey, and their son, Daniel; as well as by her son, James, of Brooklyn. She is also survived by her brother, William J.
