Marguerite L. Francisco, 85, of Bethlehem, passed away on Thursday, June 23, 2011 at St. Lukes Hospital, Fountain Hill. She was the wife of the late James Francisco. Born in Fountain Hill, she was the daughter of the late William and Gertrude (Badel) Apgar. Marguerite attended Bethlehem Area Schools, and she also attended Muhlenberg College. She worked as a seamstress for Nicki Lynn Sportswear and for Diamond Blouse of Bethlehem for many years. Marguerite was a member, past president, trustee and Senior Vice President of the Ladies Auxiliary VFW Post #855 of Bethlehem. She was also a former shop secretary of the Union at Diamond Blouse for the International Ladies Garment Workers Union Local #234. Marguerite was also a member of Christ Church UCC in Bethlehem. Survivors: children, James Grossett of Bethlehem and Mary Tzope of Bethlehem Township; sisters, Nancy Klotz of Bethlehem and Elaine Miller of Hamburg; 6 grandchildren. Marguerite was preceded in death by sons John and Joseph Grossett, sisters Laura Connell and Mildred Speath, and brothers James and Gerald Apgar.
