Marguerite F. “Maggie” Fredericks, 94, of Williamsport, died Thursday, September 15, 2011 at Rose View Center.
Born March 1, 1917, in Williamsport, she was a daughter of the late Frank and Margaret (Murray) Bower.
She was a 1934 graduate of the Williamsport High School. Maggie was a member of St. Joseph the Worker Parish, Ascension Church, and also the White Deer Golf Course and their Ladies Association where she played in many tournaments. She was an avid bingo player and enjoyed playing cards with her siblings.
Surviving are a daughter Carol Ann (Larry) DeRemer of Linden, two sons Charles E. (Mary Lou) Fredericks of Williamsport, and LaVern F. (Judy) Fredericks of Wildwood, FL, 16 grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, and six great great grandchildren, five siblings; Rita Crawley of Linden, Jack Bower of Montoursville, Robert “Bobby” Bower of Cogan Station, Thomas Bower of Trout Run, and Charles “Boots” Bower of Williamsport.
She was predeceased by her husband Raymond Fredericks on June 30, 1992, and six siblings; Joan Michael, LaVern, Paul, William, Bernard, and Harold Bower.
