Marguerite (Hough) Bramley, 88, of Cylinder, passed away peacefully and comfortably Thursday night, May 7, at Lakeside Nursing Home in Emmetsburg, Iowa. Marguerite (Maggie) was born March 20, 1932 in Mallard, Iowa and was raised by parents Fred and Gertrude. She married her Husband, James (Jim) on November 14, 1954.Maggie graduated from Mallard High School before attending cosmetology school in Des Moines, Iowa. She owned a beauty shop in Okoboji, Iowa called Marguerite’s before moving to Joe Hand Barber Shop in Emmetsburg. She also thoroughly enjoyed life on the farm with Jim and her son William (Bill) Bramley who she loved passionately. The couple worked on a farm in Rockwell, Iowa before settling on the family Farm in Cylinder. Marguerite was a member of the Cylinder Women’s Club and appreciated her many friendships gained through socializing over a cup of coffee. She loved and cherished visits from her grandchildren Mandy, Austin, Andrea and Matt and her great grandchildren Landon, Lenora and Beckham. Maggie is proceeded in death by her infant son Micheal James, siblings Laurence, Helen, William, Charles, Emerson, Richard and Melba along with parents Fred and Gertrude. She is survived by her husband Jim and son Bill (Deb) of Emmetsburg; her sisters Betty Edwards and Maxine Ruppert, both of Emmetsburg; her grandchildren Mandy Josh) Frey, Austin Bramley, Andrea (Jakob) Parmley all of Sioux Falls, South Dakota, and Matt of Fort Dodge; great grandchild Landon Frey, Lenora and Beckham Parmley.
