Margit “Maggie” Vitaniemi 67, passed away Thursday, May
5, 2011 at Union Hospital of Clinton. She was born
October 1, 1943 to Rudolph and Ernestine Smolka Kauer,
in Czechoslovakia. She was a LPN and worked at the
Clinton Nursing Home for over 30 years.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband;
Albert Vitaniemi, and a brother Johnny Smolka.
She is survived by three daughters; Lisa Bloesing of Brazil,
Julia Bloesing of Terre Haute, and Jacqeline Wilburn of
Clinton. A sister Ernestine St. John of New Haven, Conn.
Two grandchildren Margit Bloesing Anderson of Brazil,
and Max Bloesing-Olson of Terre Haute. Also a best friend
Debbie Jones of Hillsdale.
