Mrs. Margie (Ryant) Trusell, age 73 of Sanford, NC transitioned into eternal rest on Tuesday, April 25, 2023, at UNC REX Hospital in Raleigh, NC.
On March 14, 1956, God blessed Benjamin Sr. and Nora Ryant with a beautiful Queen, Margie Ryant Trusell.
At an early age, Margie joined First Calvary Baptist Church and later became a New Bethel F.W.B member under Rev. John Henry Blue.
Margie was formally educated at W.B. Wicker. She later attended Central Carolina Community College and became a CNA.
On February 1, 1969, Margie was joined in Holy Matrimony to William “Bill” Trusell. Their love for one another started when they were kids, bloomed into teenage love, and grew to eternity.
Margie met no strangers and loved everyone equally. Laughter and family were very dear to her. Rarely did Margie turn anyone away. She had a helping Spirit. She fed the community and was known as “Big Mama” to all the kids who lived around her.
Family, Friends, and loved ones adored her because She was a walking Historian. If you had roots in Sanford, NC, she could tell you who your people were.
Margie was preceded in death by her parents Benjamin and Nora Ryant; two brothers Benjamin Ryant. Jr and William Edward Green.
Margie leaves to cherish her memory: Her husband of 54 years William “Bill” Trusell, one daughter Tracey Marcella Trusell – Quick, two sons William Van Trusell, and the baby boy Anthony Trusell all of Sanford, NC.
Very dear to her heart, Margie leaves behind one sister Mrs. Bessie Lee Tysor (Patrick) of Burlington, NC; two brothers Mr. Raymond Harrington (Juanita) of Yonkers, NY, and Mr. Clyde Green of Fayetteville, NC.
Margie also leaves behind the stars of her heart, six grandsons Nathaniel Artist McLean, Jr. (Kiara), Gerald Quick, Desmond Quick, Marquis Goldston, Jamal Pimkin, and Christopher Daye; two granddaughters Ursula Skyy Goldston and Destinee Lashay Coley; seventeen great-grandchildren; one uncle Donald White of Sanford, NC; one best friend from childhood Mrs. Josie Womble; and two favorite nieces Mrs. Lenora Morrison (Cleve) Burlington, NC, and Mrs. Tonya Lee (Robert) of Fayetteville, NC and a host of great nieces, nephews, cousins, family, and friends.
