Muncie – Margie Ruth Hickey, 85, passed away Friday, November 30, 2012, at The Woodlands following an extended illness.
Margie was born in Hartford City on February 27, 1927, the daughter of William Grant and Viola Elizabeth (Stigall) Hunt, and attended Muncie Public Schools.
Mrs. Hickey worked for twenty years with Ross Corner Groceries in the Meat Department.
Survivors include two daughters, Diana Jarrett, (husband-Robert), Pompano Beach, Florida, and Deborah McLaughlin, (husband-Timothy), Springport; a son, Barry Hickey, (wife-Carla), Muncie; two sisters, Doris Schock, (husband-Derald), Muncie, and Bonnie Stewart, Madison; a brother, Donald Hunt, (wife-Beverly), Muncie; six grandchildren, Robert Jarrett, Shawn Jarrett, (wife-Traci), Kristin Marks, (Husband-Dallas), Jeremy McLaughlin, (wife-Rebekah), Ryan Hickey, (wife-Christine), and Lauren Arbogast, (husband-Gregg); eleven great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 39 years, Gerald E. Hickey; her first husband, Merle Norton, who was killed in World War II; and a granddaughter.
