Margie Lucile Parr Andrews, 87, of 940 Sandy Creek Road, Danville, VA died Sunday February 27, 2011 in Danville Regional Medical Center. Born January 19, 1924 in Charlottesville, VA, she was the daughter of the late Samuel Price Parr and the late Nannie Morris Parr. She was a member of the Calvary Church of the Nazarene, and a member of the Danville Charter Chapter of ABWA. She was formerly employed with Corning Glass Works where she retired in 1987, and also worked as a church secretary for a number of years. She was predeceased by her husband, John C. “Carter†Andrews. She is survived by her son, Donald E. Andrews and wife, Carolyn of Naples, FL; her daughters, Sandra L. Barnes and husband, Billy, Margaret Anne Higdon, and Laura A. Stanfield and husband, Bill, all of Danville, and her sister, Elsie L. Chue of Danville. She is also survived by seven grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren. In addition to husband and her parents, she was predeceased by a sister, Ethel Atkinson.
