Geneva Reidling Gibbs, “Grandmother”

“A mother’s love lives within the hearts of her children forever.”  On the morning of February 7, 2014, God saw fit to call away the sweet spirit of Mrs. Ginny Reidling Gibbs to her heavenly home.  Mrs. Ginny, the 4th of eight children, born to Hubert and Mary Ethel Estelle Reidling of Gainesville, Hall County, Georgia.

She was a beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.

Geneva eloped with the love of her life at the tender age of 17.

Ginny, as she was affectionately known to her friends, always put her family first.  She had an exceptional green thumb and everyone enjoyed swapping cutting of plants with her family and friends.

Geneva was preceded in death by her husband of 71 years, Frank M. Gibbs, her parents, 7 siblings and precious grandson, Brandon Peale in 1995.

She is survived by two daughters:  Betty Gibbs Woodward and son-in-law, Jim Woodward of Coweta, OK., Frankie Gibbs Peale and son-in-law, Roger Peale of Destin, FL.; grandchildren:  Gregory D. Woodward and Tammy Stacy of Coweta, OK.; and great-grandchildren:  Gregory, Jason, Hunter, and Caleb Woodward of Coweta, OK., John –Michael Peale of Pace, FL.; and many nieces and nephews.

The family would like to thank the Belvedere Commons staff; Hospice caregivers:  Rebecca Monte, Ruby Monte, and Glenda Robertson.

Friends are the angels that God sent from Heaven to help us.

A happy home we once enjoyed, how sweet the memory still, but death has left a loneliness the world can never fill.
