Margie Nugent Sanderson of Belleville, IL., born December 31, 1921 in East St. Louis, IL, died May 10, 2010 at Memorial Hospital, Belleville, IL.
Margie worked as a saleslady for many years at Seidels, Nustyle and Her Wardrobe. Until her retirement, she worked for 18 years at Notre Dame Hills Convalescent Center.
During the years she raised her family, she was very active in her children’s school activities, fundraisers, sporting events, drum corps….and the list went on.
She was a mother and caregiver to all stray animals or children who came her way.
Margie was preceded in death by her mother and father, Agnes Elizabeth “Dollie” (nee Joachim) and Joe Nugent; brothers, George Nugent and James Nugent; sister, Wanda Nugent Dodson; step-father, Art Neumann; sons-in-law, Michael E. Fellner and Lou J. Biggs, and an infant son, Ronald Lee Sanderson.
She leaves a daughter, Sherry (Sam) Kemp of New Baden, IL.; daughter, Nancy (Mark) Westhoff of Millstadt, IL.; son, Larry (Mary Ann) Sanderson of Belleville, IL.; daughter, Margie Lyn Sanderson of Belleville, IL. ;two granddaughters, Elizabeth Shannon Westhoff of St. Louis, MO. and Christine Ellen (Timothy) Westhoff-Allen of Little Rock AR., and a great-granddaughter, Cecilia Allen of Little Rock, AR.
