It is with great sadness the family of Margie D. Moore announces her passing on November 22, 2021. Although her time on earth has ended, her family lives on with confidence they will see her again in the presence of their Lord and Savior.

Margie was born to Shelton and Bonnie (Dunn) Profitt in Gilmore, Kentucky. One of six children, she went on to graduate high school and work as a lab technician for a major medical group. On October 7, 1946, Margie married George Moore, a union that stood strong for 50 years until George’s passing in 1996.

Margie is remembered for many things, most importantly, her love for her family and God. She especially loved having a house full of family and friends on Thanksgiving, her favorite holiday. Part of the family tradition every year were her chocolate cream and lemon meringue pies. They were so legendary, in fact, she often made the same two pies for every special event. Margie loved having people around and people loved being around her. Her sense of humor and good nature made her easy to spend time with. She’s also remembered as a lover of jewelry! The more sparkle the better!

Margie was predeceased by her parents, Shelton and Bonnie, her husband, George and son George, her sister Zona Thompson, brothers Jay and Raymond Moore and son in law John McGuire. She is survived by children Charles (Debbie) Moore, Cathy McGuire, and son Scott Moore, sister Freida Johnson and brother James Moore. Grandchildren surviving are Dawn (Peter) Blowers, Hillari (Kurk) Wright, Joshua (Logan) Thomas, Benjamin (Leticia) Thomas, Jason (Amanda) McGuire, Carter (Maura) McGuire, Samantha Moore (Marcus Sineath), Benjerman Moore (Angela), George Moore (Bailey); her great-grandchildren: Jonathon (Hannah) Blowers, Backy (Jon) Misner, Thomas Blowers, Kaitlyn McGuire (Cory), Abigail McGuire (Wesley), Molly Wright (Nikolai), Broc Wright (Julia), Kylie Sineath, Blake McGuire, Shelly McGuire, and Le’ella Moore; and her great-great grandchildren: Liam, Catherine, Elizabeth, Dylan, and Mason.
