Margie Betty Jean Jones-Henderson was born on Wednesday, September 16, 1942 in Yuma, AZ. She was the youngest child born to Jessie and Trainnie Jones (Crisp). While Margie was an infant, her parents moved their family to San Diego, CA, where Margie attended Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic School and San Diego City Adult School.
Margie united in holy matrimony with James Dallas Henderson on August 5, 1962 and their union was blessed with four children. Margie was a housewife who supported her husband James’ twenty years in the Navy and twenty years as a government civil employee, until his retirement.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Jessie Jr., Robert and John Jones; sisters, Carlene Jones McNeil and Pauline Jones; and step-mother, Ruth Jones Record.
Margie was called by the Lord and departed this life on Saturday, May 10, 2014 at 4:00 A.M. She is survived by her husband of fifty-one years, James Dallas Henderson; four children, David Lover (Sherretta) of Avondale, AZ, Cheryl Wilson, James Henderson, Jr. and Toni Henderson all of San Diego, CA; three sisters, Aldean Ford (David) of Sacramento, CA, Exetta Lemons (Ted) of Shreveport, LA and Nelda Eddings of Hutto, TX; one sister-in-law, Wilhemera Jones of Las Vegas, NV; one brother-in-law, Ronnie Henderson of Rochester, NY and a host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
