Margaritte May Crutchfield, 102, passed away, Tuesday, December 21, 2021. She was born March 24 1919 in Moberly to James and Grace (Roberts) Goff.

She married David Crutchfield on December 24, 1937, in Moberly and he preceded her in death on May 26, 1976. Also preceding her in death were her parents, two sons; David Crutchfield Jr and Arthur James Crutchfield, grandchildren; Pam Cuijko, James Allen and Rick Crutchfield, Debbie and Nancy Crutchfield, two sisters; Isla Wicks and Pauline Wallace, six brothers; Earl, Cyrus, Archie, Burl, Ralph, and Charles Goff, and daughter in laws; Jennie (Chloupek) Crutchfield, Carolyn (Stringer) Crutchfield and Margie (Thorpe) Crutchfield.

Margaritte is survived by her three sons; Jack Crutchfield and his wife Martha, Jerry Crutchfield and his wife Neta, and Larry Crutchfield and his wife Joyce, daughter-in-law Glenda Crutchfield, over 100 grandchildren, great-grandchildren great-great-grandchildren, nephews, nieces including a beloved niece Cheryl, other relatives and friends.

Margaritte was a woman with many stories, talents, and hobbies. In her free time, she enjoyed planting and caring for her flowers, and baking Twinkie cake, apple bread, candy, and cookies. She loved to quilt, sew, and paint. She once made roughly 107 thumb-sucking bears and stuffed animals. Her house was always full. She shared her home on the farm with many nephews and great-nephews who would spend the summers there working. The nieces wanted to stay but the parents wouldn’t allow them. At the age of nine Margaritte accepted the Lord as her personal savior. In her working life, she worked at the Garment Factory in Fayette.
