Margaretta J. Bullington, the daughter of Rennier and Sarah (Vander Leest) Dieleman, was born October 22, 1909 in rural Taintor, Iowa.  She attended District #4 Sugar Creek Township School, in 1930 she moved with her family to Sully, Iowa.

On April 4, 1942, Margaretta was united in marriage to Woollard Chase Bullington in Newton, Iowa, they moved to Davenport, Iowa where they made their home. She cleaned for the Davenport Bank and Trust Company until retiring in 1984.

Margaretta died Wednesday, June 14, 2000 at her daughter’s home in Reno. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Chase in 1992; her son-in-law, Dr. John P. Kelly in 1998; two brothers, Harold and Clifford Dieleman; and her sister, Helen Vander Zyl.  Those left to honor Margaretta’s memory are her son, Ronald of Reno; daughter, Gretchen Kelly of Reno; her granddaughter, Kelsey Bullington of Mansfield, Texas; three step-grandchildren, Michael Kelly, Camilla Munns, and Carol Bridges, all of Reno; her three step-great-grandchildren, Lindsay Bridges, Aurora and Samantha Munns, all of Reno; two brothers, Clarence Dieleman of Boynton, Florida; Marvin Dieleman of Grinnell, Iowa; her three sisters and brothers-in-law, Velma and Milo Vander Kamp of Columbia, Missouri; Jeanetta And Floyd Vander Kamp of Pella, Iowa; and Erma and Wendell Ver Ploeg of West Bloomfield, Michigan.
