Margaret Weddle, 93, of Metamora, IL passed away at 12:15 p.m. on Monday, June 13, 2016 at Unity Point Methodist Hospital in Peoria, IL.
Margaret was born on February 19, 1923, to Frank and Nellie (Doyle) Brown in Arthur, IL. She married A.B. Weddle on December 6, 1941. He preceded her in death on September 30, 2014. They were married 72 years.
She is survived by two sons, Jack (Marsha) Weddle of Metamora, IL and J. Daniel (Kathleen) Weddle of Manhattan, NY; one granddaughter, Emily Weddle of Manhattan; one grandson, Scott Weddle of Stevens Point, WI; four great-grandchildren, Katherine, Madeline, John, and Faith Weddle, all of Stevens Point; one nephew; and three nieces. She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, and her brother, John Brown.
Margaret attended grade school in Monticello, IL and graduated from Monticello High School in 1941. She was the Homecoming Queen her senior year.
Margaret and her husband A.B. lived in Cisco, IL where they started in the grocery business with her father -law at Weddle’s IGA in Cisco.
