Margaret Ann Swift, 91, passed away Friday December 17 at Mercy One Hospice in Johnston, Iowa. Margaret was born in Des Moines, Iowa in 1930 to Marjorie and Sherman Davis. In 1948, she married the love of her life Don Swift. They were married for 71 years and raised four wonderful children.
She was an avid bridge player, playing weekly in several bridge groups with one of her proud accomplishments playing bridge was a grand slam. In addition to bridge, she enjoyed coloring, reading, and working in her yard. She also loved taking long walks with family and friends. Margaret loved being around family and attending grandchildren and great grandchildren sporting events and activities. Margaret is survived by her children Sheryl Jeter, Bill Swift, Debbie Rood (George), and Jack Swift as well as six grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren and many other loving family and friends.
