Margaret K. Shackelford, 79, of O’Fallon, Ill. made her transition on June 21, 2007 at St. Elizabeth’s Hospital, Belleville, Ill. Margaret was born on August 2, 1927 in Bicknell, IN., to John & Charlotte, nee Gillespie, Milligan. Margaret was a member of Christ Unity Church in Collinsville and Delta Theta Tau Sorority International.
She was preceded in death by her patents and a brother John Milligan of Ft. Lauderdale, Fla. Margaret is survived by her husband Hubert Charles Shackelford, whom she married on December 22, 1949. She is also survived by 3 children, Cathy E. Shackelford of Edwardsville, Ill., Charles D. (Anne) Shackelford of Ft. Collins, Colo. & Lawrence E. (Sandy) Shackelford of O’Fallon, Ill., 4 grandchildren, Kathryn Marie, David Charles and Daniel Charles Shackelford, all of Ft. Collins, Colo. and Eric Charles Shackelford of O’Fallon, Ill., a brother Kenneth (Larri) Milligan of Peachtree City, GA and a sister-in-law Rita Milligan of Ft. Lauderdale, Fla.
