Margaret Green Adams Russell, 92, of Cromwell, wife of Robert W. Russell, passed away on Tuesday, May 8th at Apple Rehab of Cromwell. Born in Pemberton Wigan Lancashire, England, she was the daughter of the late James and Ann Ellen (Hurst) Green. Margaret lived in Cromwell since 1938, was the past matron of OES #66 in Cromwell and was the first mother advisor for the Order of Rainbow Girls. She bowled in the Cromwell and Middletown Senior Leagues and was an avid Red Sox fan. Along with her husband, she is survived by two sons, James C. Adams and his wife, Susan of East Haddam and David J. Adams, and his wife, Sandra of Myrtle Beach, SC; a daughter, Barbara Spada and her husband, Louis “Buddy” of Cromwell; a special fourth son, Clifford Parker and his wife, Mary of Cromwell; three stepsons, R. Eric Russell and his wife, Carol of Stow, MA, Gordon W. Russell and his wife, Jane of E. Holden, ME and Dan E. Russell and his wife, Suzanne of East Haddam; a stepdaughter, Virginia S. Kenny and her husband, Paul of Wakefield, RI; eleven grandchildren; seventeen great grandchildren; one great great grandchild and many nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, Margaret was predeceased by her first husband, Claude M. Adams; her son, Claude M. Adams, Jr.; a grandson, Thomas Ryan Adams and four sisters.
