Margaret R. (Whalen) Richmond of Plymouth, died on June 7, 2021 at the age of eighty-three. She was the wife of the late Robert L. Richmond; mother of Kathleen Anderson and her late husband, Gary, Robin Tozzi and her husband John; grandmother of John Tozzi and his wife Laura, Joseph Tozzi and the late Alexander Tozzi; great-grandmother of Bobby and Mimi Tozzi; sister of Joan Caldwell; aunt to Kellie Caldwell, Amy Fultz and her husband Douglas, George Caldwell and his wife Megan. Margaret anticipated the videos and pictures of the shenanigans that Hadley and Grady brought to her each week while they kept Auntie Kathie on her toes. Margaret was born on December 30, 1937 in Boston to Michael J. and Rose A. Whalen. She assisted her husband with all that he did. That included starting and running a mobile home park, lobstering, cranberry growing, running a liquor store, and running a business which made crab traps when they lived in Florida.Margaret loved her family and nature, subtly infusing her knowledge of local flora and fauna into those of us who loved her. It was a surprise for some to come into her home and find shells, dried seahorses, boxes of leaves and seed pods, a basket made from an armadillo…you get the idea. We will miss Margaret more than we can say but we will see her in every beautiful piece of nature which surrounds us. Margaret’s family wishes to give a special thanks to John and his staff at Life Care Center of Plymouth. These dedicated professionals kept Margaret happy and safe after her stroke and all through COVID. Besides her family, Margaret leaves her Life Care roommate, Geneva Dicks, and all her family who treated Mom as a part of their family. We especially thank Manny Fontes and his family for their visits and lifting Mom up over the years, Betty Alves Weeden for her constant support and treats. Also, the Rebelo family, Neil, Laura, Mia and Evan who made many trips from Woburn to visit Auntie Margaret and who sent many cards and photos, which she cherished.
