Margaret P. (Carr) Levy

She was born and raised in Newark, NJ. She lived in Iselin, NJ before moving to Holiday Heights in 1989. Margaret graduated from St. Joseph Nursing School in Paterson, NJ then worked at Columbus Hospital in Newark, NJ for 4 years. Margaret then went on to become one of the first Women Police Officers with the City of Newark, NJ for 5 years. Ultimately, she ended up being the First Industrial Occupational Nurse for the Main Post Office in Newark, NJ for 25 years retiring in 1977.

After retirement she was a coordinator for Meals on Wheels and very active in the Holiday Heights community. She was a parishioner of the St. Maximilian Kolbe RC Church, Berkeley Township and also a member of their Rosary Society and the Catholic Daughters of America. She was also very involved in the Ladies Order of Ancient Hibernians. Preceded in death by her husband William J. Levy and her stepsons William M. Levy and Kevin V. Levy. Surviving is her daughter Patricia Morin of Beavercreek, OH, two grandchildren Brynne Levy and Alexa Levy, her daughter in-law Nancy Levy of Packanack, NJ, and also her two nieces Jeanne Walsh of Morristown, NJ and Marilyn Lorcheim of Glen Allen, VA.
