Margaret Oslé López passed away on Tuesday, May 18, 2010 at the age of 94. She was born in Flagstaff, Arizona on June 20, 1915. Margaret worked for Babbitt’s Department Store for many years and then worked for Food Town a local grocery store.

Margaret was an excellent seamstress and enjoyed making clothes, quilting and working on other projects. She also enjoyed baking, travelling with her family and conversing with people; she made friends wherever she went. As a resident of Flagstaff her entire life, she was very knowledgeable about the history and would often tell wonderful stories about the changes that had taken place in Flagstaff. Margaret was a loving mother, grandmother, sister and friend.

She is survived by her three children; Louisa (Jean) Etchamendy, Viola Alonso, and Manuel (Anne) López. She is also survived by her grandchildren Laura Zinke, Teresa Wallace (Jay), Casey and Shawna López and Billy Fabritz and her two great grandchildren Brandon and Brooke Wallace and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband Manuel López, her parents José and Marta Oslé, her siblings; Josephine Cárdenas, Dolores Fernández and Henry Oslé, son-in-law Casimiro Alonso and grandson Doc Zinke. Margaret touched the lives of all who knew her and she will be greatly missed.
