On this day October 4 2022, our beloved Margaret Wardell Wittenbraker was carried home to her loving Heavenly Father by her Savior Jesus Christ. She was born 16 October 1936 to Chester L. Wardell and Hazel E. Lochhead Wardell. She worked most of her life in various jobs and retired from Hill Field in Layton Utah.
She is survived by her son’s Brian David Barton of Ogden Utah, Clifford Scott Barton of Arizona, grandchildren Scott Lavoy Barton, Brain Scott Barton, 8 great-grandchildren: Christian Barton, Austin Barton, Draco Barton, Daniel Barton, Kadin Barton, Scott Mitchell Barton, Anniston Kate Barton, Adrienne Kay Barton. Her sisters Zina Verhaal (Joel) of Fielding Utah, Laurie Ann Olson of Idaho, and brother Doug Wardell of Millville Utah.
Margaret accepted Jesus Christ as her Redeemer long ago. She had a strong testimony of his divine love for her. She had a deep love for the scriptures and knew them well. She had believed in the power and healing of forgiveness. Margaret had no ill feelings toward anyone, only a big heart of love and compassion. She exemplified a Christ like life of charity.
I find great peace in believing she is joined in joyous reunion with her sons and parents, free from the bondage of a tired broken body and trial of her mortal journey. Rest in peace and joy my sweet sister.
