Margaret Brown Means, 88, of Newnan died Sunday, March 04, 2007 at Piedmont Newnan Hospital. She was born July 28, 1918 in Polk County, GA to the late Grover Cleveland & Mary Magdalene Alexander Brown. She worked at Norris Candy Company in Atlanta for several years and later retired from the downtown Atlanta Macy’s Department store. In addition to her parents, her husband, Paul L. Means preceded her in death in 1991.

After her retirement, Mrs. Means was an avid gardener who delighted in spending her days toiling in the soil. She ordered flower seedlings from all over the world to plant and nurture in her garden. One of her greatest joys was spending time with her family. She was a member of East Newnan Baptist Church.

She is survived by sister, Anne Brown Spealman of Atlanta; brother, Paul Gene Brown of Newnan; nephews, Charles William Brown, Jr, Marion Olin Brown, Richard Gene Brown, Bobby Gene Brown, Wayne L. Brown, Ray D. Spealman, Jr.; niece, Linda Holbrook; sister-in-law, Lenora Brown; numerous great & great-great nieces and nephews.
