Margaret McDonald, 96, formerly of Virginia, IL passed from this world on August 17, 2014 in Fresno, CA.
She was born August 25, 1917 in Chandlerville, IL, the daughter of Charles and Matilda Zeller. She married H. George McDonald on September 30, 1938 in Virginia. He preceded her in death in 1994.
She is survived by two daughters, Judy Irvine (husband, Jim) of Fresno, CA and Sally Smith (husband, Rick) of Punta Mita, Mexico; four granddaughters; and seven great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her three sisters: Velma Murphy, Gertrude Lane and Marie Bieber.
Margaret and her husband were active members of the Virginia United Methodist Church for many years. Following George’s retirement from his insurance business, they moved to Solana Beach, CA. Margaret was known for her wonderful sense of humor, enjoyed by her family and friends until the end of her earthly life.
