Margaret Mary “Peggy” Nash Schove, 81, died Saturday, August 4, 2018, at Baptist Memorial Hospital North MS in Oxford..M.. Eddie Rester officiating…M. until 7:00 P.M..M. in the church atrium. Born in Houma, LA to the late Clinton Herrick and Marguerite Pacatte Nash, Mrs. Schove was the widow of August Stanley Schove and a retired kindergarten and second grade teacher. She earned her undergraduate degree followed by her Masters in Elementary Education from the University of Mississippi where she was a recipient of the University’s highest academic award, The Taylor Medal. As a longtime member of Oxford-University United Methodist Church, she was faithful to the Mary Martha Circle, the Eureka Sunday School Class and served as former president of the United Methodist Women. Active in the Oxford community, she devoted time to volunteering at The Pantry and Meals on Wheels and served as a Girl Scout Leader and Cub Scout Leader. Mrs. Schove was an avid reader and a member of the Reader’s Guild. She relished time spent with her family, never missing an opportunity for get-togethers and enjoyed family vacations. In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Schove was preceded in death by a son-in-law, Daniel Morris “Danny” Phillips. Survivors include two daughters, Susan Schove Phillips and Janet Ann Schove both of Oxford; two sons, Clinton Schove and his wife, Glenn, and John Schove and his wife, Katie, all of Oxford; a sister, Kathryn Nash Thomas of Charles Town, WV; six grandchildren, Margaret Goodwyn Bankston and her husband, Ryne, Mary August Shivers and her husband, Garner, Alex Schove, Christopher Schove, Mary Witt Schove and Jack Schove and three great-grandchildren, Daniel Bankston, Ava Garner Shivers and Mary Morris Shivers all of Oxford..
