Anderson – Margaret Marie Mehling Ireland, 79, Anderson, entered the gates of heaven on July 31, 2008 after an extended illness with her family at her side. She was born on November 23, 1928 in Alexandria to George D. and May P. Mehling. She had been employed at Bell Telephone Company, Hoyt Wright, Anderson Music Center and Dr. Brad Laconi, D.D.S., but spent most of her life as a homemaker.
She was a wonderful cook and enjoyed get together with her family and friends. She especially loved spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was a dedicated wife, mother, grandma, great grandma and friend. She was a very compassionate person who was always willing to listen or help anyone she could. She will be sadly missed by all who knew her.
She is survived by her loving husband of 58 years, Jack Ireland; two sons, Jack Ireland Jr. and Rick Ireland, both of Anderson; daughter, Joni Joe Jackson of Anderson; grandchildren, Michael Stephanie Taylor of North Hollywood, California, Annie Charles Paschal Brown of Fishers, Ashley Paschal of Anderson; three step-grandchildren, Garrett Jackson of Broadripple, Carly and Casey Jackson of Pendleton; two great grandchildren, Brielle & Brittan Brown; step great-granddaughter, Sherissa Brown of Fishers.
She is also survived by brothers, George Bettyann Mehling, Bill Monica Mehling both of Anderson, Maurice Mehling of Alexandria; sisters, Sister M. Patricia Anne of Alexandria, Kathleen Don Quarles of Black Mountain, North Carolina, Charlene Jack Fisher and Mary Lou Bill Hunter both of Alexandria; brother-in-law, Kenneth Red Hinton of Anderson and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, George D. and May P. Mehling; brothers, Charles & Mickey Mehling and a sister, Patricia Hinton.
