Margaret Marie (Zeller) Cosby went home to the Lord on Monday, January 27, 2014 after a long and courageous battle with cancer. She was born August 23,1925 in Brooklyn, New York to George and Marie Zeller. She married Mike Cosby and they had one son Michael. Margaret was an extraordinary person who lived life to the fullest. She never met a stranger and her huge smile is legendary. She had a warm and lovinginterest in everyone and everything around her. She was very proud of being a pilot and was a member of the San Antonio Chapter of the 99’s. She was a Lt. Col. in the Civil Air Patrol and flew many search and rescue missions. She was an active member of her church and member of many Civic Organizations. She worked for many years with the Kendall County Adult Education program and as a substitute teacher. One of her great loves in life was animals, especially horses and dogs. She was an accomplished equestrian and taught riding. She was a world traveler and enjoyed many adventures. She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother John Zeller. She is survived by her son Michael, her nieces Virginia Quinn, Lorraine Agostino, her long-time caregiver and friend Claire Doyle, and her beloved dog Missy. She also leaves behind many close friends and acquaintances. Appreciations go to all her caregivers and the nurses, aids, and staff at Alamo Hospice.
