Margaret Mae Bolyard Herndon, 92 of Newburg passed away Thursday, September 13, 2012 at her home with family by her side. She was born May 30, 1920 in Kansas City MO, daughter of the late Dewey and Lora Shahan Bolyard. Margaret loved to take walks and had a special prayed every night. She lived in Newburg for 74 years, worked as a janitor at Newburg Elementary School. She went to church at the York Run Church. Surviving are three children, Carolyn E Knotts, Tunnelton, Donna Jolliff, Fairmont and Roger Herndon, Newburg; seven grandchildren, Teresa McDaniel, Carol Zuchowski , Ross Bolyard, Roger Bolyard, David Jolliff, Diana Jolliff and Mary Hilling; one brother, Dewey Junior Bolyard of Florida; two sisters, Violet Jones, Shinnston, Evelyn Haller, TX; eleven great grandkids, sixteen great great grand kids and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Margaret was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph Herndon on July 14, 1969; one son, Charles Herndon, one daughter, Vera Herndon, two grandson, Gary Bolyard and Ralph Dewayne Bolyard; two brothers, Verlon Bolyard and Jasper Wesley Bolyard.
