Margaret M. Miller, 96, of Jacksonville, IL died Saturday, November 4, 2017, at her home surrounded by her family.
She was born March 29, 1921 in Virginia, the daughter of Fred F. and Goldie Harrell Chaney. She married Joseph F. Miller and he preceded her in death on November 5, 1986.
She is survived by two children, James R. Miller (Phyllis) and John S. Miller (Robin), both of Jacksonville; 17 grandchildren; 27 great grandchildren; 9 great great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by three children, Jerry Blaine Miller (surviving wife, Barb of Fresno, CA), Freddie Joe Miller (surviving wife, Pearl of Trenary, MI), and Shirley Miller Williams and by three siblings, Raymond L. Chaney, Floyd F. Chaney, and Mary Louise Chaney.
Margaret enjoyed sewing, cooking, rides in the country, and caring for her family and the neighborhood children.
