Margaret M. “Peg” Myers Harrison, 88, Anderson, died December 23, 2005 at Community Hospital, Anderson. She was born September 6, 1917 in Montclair, New Jersey.

She attended a dramatic school in New York City and performed in many civic theater productions in New Jersey. In 1944 she married John B. Harrison of Pendleton, Indiana. Their life together began in Memphis, Tennessee where Lt. Harrison served in the Naval Air Corps. as a flight instructor. After the war, General Motors Overseas Division requested that he install battery operations in Mexico City, Bombay, India and Port Elizabeth, South Africa.

She accompanied her husband to these countries, giving birth to a son in Mexico and a daughter in India, then moving to South Africa. Later they returned to the United States where their third child was born.

Peg was an Anderson resident since 1960. Her interest in theater never waned. She performed in Muncie, Kansas, Florida and Anderson, where her thespian highlights include Gypsy, Mame, Annie and others. She was a member of St. Ambrose Catholic Church, Anderson Country Club, Research Club, Mainstage Theater, the OLGA and Isabel Society.

She is survived by her husband of 61 years, John B. Harrison; three children, Susan Harrison & husband Jeffrey Price of Richland, Michigan, Jay & wife Molly Harrison of Chesterton and Jessica Harrison of Tucson, Arizona; two sisters, Betty & husband Jeff Podesta and Mary Meier; two brothers, Jim Myers and Bill & wife Ann Myers; two grandchildren, Laura Harrison and Anne Harrison; one great grandchild, Maxwell Lewis; several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Jessica A. Roche and Edward Myers and two brothers, Tom Myers and Charles Myers.
