Margaret “Marge” Eller Flack, 97, of Rossville, formerly of Frankfort, passed away Wednesday, August 3, 2022, at St. Anthony Healthcare in Lafayette.

She was born January 29, 1925, in Tiffin, OH to the late Charles W. and Laura M. (Taylor) Eller. She was a 1944 graduate of Calvert High School in Tiffin, OH. After moving to Lafayette with her brother, Marge met Robert “Bob” Flack and on January 25, 1958, they were married. Bob preceded her in death on February 23, 2003.

Marge was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Frankfort and St. Mary’s Alter and Rosary Society and Ladies of Charity, and the VFW. She worked at Schnieble’s Drug Store, Purdue National Bank, and in the Cosmetic Department of Loeb’s Department store.  When Marge and Bob moved to Ligonier, she worked as a receptionist at a physician’s office and began her “Avon Lady” career. The couple then moved to Frankfort and opened The Flack Agency, Inc.  in which Marge was co-owner and worked in the office for several years. Marge continued being the “Avon Lady”, having 3 routes and a total of 46 years, resulting in her becoming a member of Avon’s President’s Club and Honor Society.

Although Marge lived in Indiana, she was 100% Buckeye and happy to tell anyone, anywhere, anytime! She loved returning to Ohio for family visits and attending OSU Football games in Columbus. She enjoyed visiting Notre Dame, both for football and the campus itself. She also enjoyed wintering in Florida and bird watching.  She was a very happy person and never knew a stranger

She is survived by her daughter, Debbie (Dale) Johnston; 2 grandchildren, Brianna (Patrick) Watkins and Colby (Bailey) Johnston; several great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

Along with her husband Bob and her parents, Charles and Laura Eller; she was preceded in death by her son, Pat; daughter, Connie; grandson, Scott; and brother, Bob.

The family wishes to thank the doctors and nurses at Franciscan Hospital, Franciscan Hospice, and St. Anthony Healthcare for easing her final journey through this most difficult time.

If you knew Marge, it wouldn’t be appropriate without adding “GO BUCKS!”
