Margaret L. Gilligan, 80 of Toms River, passed from this life peacefully surrounded by her family on Thursday, August 19, 2021. Margaret was born February 28, 1941 in Jersey City, New Jersey to the late Vincent Nardini and Veronica Tracy Nardini. She was a loving mother, devoted wife and grandmother. She was affectionately known as “Poppie” to her family and her greatest joy in life was spending time with them and her grandchildren. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her. Margaret is predeceased by her parents, husband, James Gilligan; brothers, James Nardini and John Bouban.
Margaret is survived by her son, Jim Gilligan and his wife Rachael of Toms River; daughter, Veronica Greenlow and her husband David of Toms River; daughter, April Mills of Toms River, daughter Kelly Orbin and husband Michael of Toms River; brothers Joseph Nardini and his wife Kathy of Toms River; Vincent Nardini and his wife Denise of Bonita Springs, Florida; Thomas Nardini and his wife Lucia of Monroe; sister, Shelby Baron of San Jose, California, grandchildren, Michael, Jessica, Gilligan James, David, James, Daniel, Jacob, Nicole and great grandchild, Penelope.
