Margaret Haughey, of Sawyer, Michigan, died Thursday, October 12, 2006 in Chicago, Illinois, with family by her side.Margaret was born June 27, 1914 in LaPorte, Indiana to Joseph and Pearl (Nichols) Cain. She was a graduate of Isaac C. Elston High School in Michigan City, Indiana. Margaret was supervisor of data processing at Time Life Magazine for over twenty years. She loved spending time with her family, friends, and especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Margaret was an avid reader, was very interested in local and national news, loved to crochet and enjoyed Constant Comment tea. Margaret attended St. Agnes Catholic Church in Sawyer and was a member of The Prairie Club in Harbert.Survivors include her sons, James (Anne Egan) Haughey of Chicago, Illinois and Joseph (Judith) Haughey of Park Ridge, Illinios; grandchildren, Kelly (Andre) Priede, Lisa (Paul) Siebert, James Haughey, Joseph (Shannon) Haughey, Thomas (Alicia) Haughey, and Kristina (Michael) Shelley, great grandchildren, Morgan, Erica, Troy, Daisy, J.D., Rylee, Teya, Tommy, Grace, Mickey, Meaghan, Molly, Maeve, Madilyn, Isabella, with another on the way, and brother Richard (Marabeth) Cain of Williams Bay, Wisconsin.Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Noon on Monday, October 16, 2006 at St. Agnes Catholic Church, Sawyer with Reverend Father Donald Suberlak as celebrant, where friends may call beginning at 11:30 am Monday. Interment will follow at Lakeside Cemetery.
