Margaret L. Doswell passed away at home in Miami on January 14, 2017. She was born to Mark B. Lane and Amy Jones Lane on June 2, 1918 in San Francisco and grew up in Burlingame, just south of San Francisco. After her mother’s early death, she was raised by step-mother, Marjorie Lane. After she received an AA degree at San Mateo Community College, she was interested in studying interior design, but that was not to be. In October 1941, she married Warren G. Doswell and began a life of travel and adventure, living in various places in the U.S. and Panama while he was in the Army, and several countries in South and Central America during his career with the United Fruit Company. She had three children, Sherry, Mark and Amy and, unfortunately, was predeceased by Mark and Amy, as well as her husband.
She leaves her daughter, Sherry and granddaughter, Danielle, Amy’s daughter, as well as cousins, numerous nieces and nephews and many friends. Margaret had many interests such as reading and walking which she did in the early morning for years.
